Death...

So my dad passed away a couple of weeks ago...some one posted this on my FB wall, and I would like to share it.

You can shed tears that they're gone
Or you can smile because they have lived

You can close your eyes and pray that they will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that they have left

Your heart can be empty because you can't see them
Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorro...w and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember them and only that they are gone
Or you can cherish their memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what they would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

So still, no one has submitted anything, which is okay...these things take time.

Well I had a lot going on as well. My dad was just diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and it is terminal. Don't really know what to think about this, I have a mom with a disiblity and a dad with a serious illness. My church is doing a blog on that, the link is, mmknowles.blogspot.com.

Whenever things seem bad for me I always think about what they (mom and my brother) have been through and it gives me the strength to pull through every time.

Hidden Tears

You hold me in your arms,

holding me tight never letting go.

You’re singing a song…

as you lay me down to sleep.

I look into your eyes and see,

all the sorrow and pain you have had.

But as I sit a pond a window sill,

and look up to the stars.

I feel teardrops fall down my cheeks,

teardrops that I have been holding in.

They are hidden tears-for my mother that I love.

You may not know, you may not see,

what lies deep within me.

I talk with you, you share your thoughts

- I share my dream

It may seem like I don’t care…

This is a blog for anyone and everyone to share their story about living with a love one with an illness,disability, or a mental disorder. I am a daughter of a parent who has Epilepsy, and a sister of a brother with a terminal illness. Growing up I have always wanted to have a place to speak out. This is what this blog is created for. Share your story, and let your voice speak out.

This is an experimental piece..meaning that submissions can be in any form that expresses your feelings in your creative way. Poetry, art, photography, video, writing, ect...
